The Garmin Blaze Equine Wellness System pairs a durable, washable neoprene tail wrap with a removable optical heart rate sensor that sits under your horse's tail, so you can see heart rate, strides, gait, distance and skin temperature in real time without any skin preparation. The wrap uses hook-and-loop straps to hold the sensor securely, and the sensor can be moved between horses while you create individual profiles in the Blaze app.


Pair it with the Blaze mobile app on your smartphone or the Blaze app from the Connect IQ Store on a compatible Garmin smartwatch to track training, recovery and transport activities, review post-activity details such as recovery rate and time in heart rate zones, and get threshold alerts for changes in heart rate, skin temperature and heat score. The rechargeable battery runs up to 25 hours between charges, and the sensor detaches from the wrap for easy cleaning and charging.
